You go to law school. You spend years studying. You pay a lot of money. You graduate. You get a job in a law firm. That does not cut it for you. You decide it is because you want to be your own boss.
You start your own law firm. It’s exhilarating. 6 months later, you are flat out of passion fuel yet again. Something does not feel right. Then your wife makes a simple yet earth-shattering statement: ‘I don’t think you like being a lawyer.’
Now what?
Meet Isaac Emmanuel, a 35-year-old, self-proclaimed ‘recovering lawyer’ who chose to follow his instinct, leaped into the unknown, and landed in a place he did not expect.
Fulfilled and excited, Isaac shares his real-life inspirational story of trust, commitment to change, and personal growth–all taking him to a leadership role in building a family empire in the healthcare industry.

About Isaac
In his own words: “I am a “recovering attorney” who now enjoys starting and building businesses. Born and raised in New Mexico, I did my undergrad at Tufts University in Boston and then returned to NM to study business and law at the University of New Mexico. After obtaining my JD/MBA, I practiced in New Mexico for about 5 years, but I found my career choice very depressing and unfulfilling. The only real fun I had was starting my own law firm–I loved the process of planning, designing, and running a small entrepreneurial-style business. My wife encouraged me to “jump with both feet” for something better, even if it meant a difficult transition for both of us. I eventually listened. It has not been an easy journey, but we now live in Georgia and I am in the business of healthcare–I currently manage the operations of a doctor-owned dietary supplement company, and I also serve as a transition consultant for doctors moving to the “concierge” primary care model. I like what I do much more now.
I met Maria at the annual Concierge Medicine Conference and am now one of her Pilates students!
