This week Joy and Laura review season 2 episode 7 “The Usual Suspects”. Dean has been arrested for murder, and Sam teams up with one of the detectives to get to the bottom of what’s really going on.

We discuss how many movie references are too many for one episode, Laura adds random roadside attractions to our podcast road trip, and Joy has many issues with this episode that we get into.

We also discuss how much Dean has changed since dying twice and being resurrected, because he doesn’t seem to care much about people anymore, and he’s not very sympathetic now. Did dying mess with him and make him a darker character??

Joy’s first Easter egg is about the ‘Flex Squad Scandal’ from Baltimore, that is very similar to the corrupt cop situation we have in this episode, and was happening around the same time this episode aired. Then she also tells us the story of a ghost who helped solve her own murder, which is basically the plot of this episode.
