Crater Lake National Park was established in 1902 as America's fifth National Park. The Park sits in the Oregon Cascades about 110 miles from the California border and 100 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. The Park is open all year but the annual snowfall is over 44 feet (or 533 inches – WOW) putting many of the Park's roads, boats, and trails out of commission from October through June.
