Proverbs 20:27 tells us that, "The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord." We discuss not only what this means, but why it was so important that Jesus alludes to it twice in the Beatitudes alone! You really are the glory of God in a human body - and only your disbelief in that, your disqualifying yourself, is able to prevent it from being 'true' in the physical.
Verses:
Proverbs 20:27
Matthew 5:14-16, Matthew 6:22
John 1 "the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" / "God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him"
Matthew 25 the parable of the 10 virgins
Revelation 22:5 "and there will no longer be night, they have no need for lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will illumine them, and they will reign forever"
Isaiah 6:8 "whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, 'Here am I. Send me.' "
Matt 17:1-8 Mount of Transfiguration
Numbers 13 the Twelve Spies
