Raquel Chavez is a native New Yorker—born and raised, first generation American from Salvadoran immigrants, soon to be Mrs. and proud owner of Just Say Yes, NY—a women-owned wedding planning business.
With over 500 weddings under her belt, Raquel has traveled all of NYC and the surrounding regions, planning & coordinating weddings in every popular event space—from raw spaces, to NYC Landmarks, to high-end hotels, and private residences.
When the pandemic hit, Raquel was forced to go on unemployment, and realized she couldn’t rely on anyone else for a paycheck ever again. With the guidance and help of her financial advisor then boyfriend, she started her own business. She's never looked back and is now in complete control of how much she makes, the clients she has, and her schedule. The freedom feels beautiful!
Raquel has a passion for weddings, but more importantly, providing opportunities to women of color in the wedding industry. She wants to show NYC that she can handle your wedding and execute with professionalism and top quality service.
