There are certain players who, in their own way, continue to improve, overachieve and ultimately succeed. Quentin Grimes is absolutely one of those players. With four seasons under his belt, Q has established himself as a true pro. Whatever the team, whatever the situation, he stays ready, keeps the right mindset and impacts the game whenever he’s on the floor.

In the offseason, Quentin has made yearly trips to workout with Penny, building on his skillset and fine tuning details. Dynamic on both the offensive and defensive ends, he’s built an identity of fitting in where needed. When in New York, he had to grind on the defensive side, in Dallas he had to pick his spots playing off of Luka and Kyrie. This past season in Philly, he came in and provided scoring when needed, stepped up as leader, then took the tough assignments night in and night out. As Penny sees it for Quentin, as long as he keeps stacking those days, his NBA star will shine soon enough.
