Amy Forsythe is an “award-winning multimedia journalist and military combat veteran” who served three tours in Afghanistan and two tours in Iraq. During that time, she saw the ravages of war, and personal tragedies. At the same time, she saw the power of the human spirit and the deep rooted connections people can make as well as the positive influence that comes when individuals put aside differences and seek to help others.
