We also consider why this show appears to be obsessed with Hoodoo, how the ghost in this episode actually operates, and why the Winchesters can’t even smash glass when they are trying to rescue Tyler in the pool house. Seriously! Was it bullet proof glass or something??

Joy’s Easter egg is about the Stanley Hotel that inspired The Shining, because of all the Stephen King references in this episode.
