"It's not about YOU. It's about how YOU help OTHERS." An outstanding talk on the principles of leadership from the great Lieutenant Colonel Oakland McCulloch. Interesting times we're facing, isnt' it? Our society is the most modern it has ever been, yet we're facing a never-before seen pandemic and something that makes covid seem less important now: war times. As I returned from a longer trip a few days, I was so looking forward to talk about the strong principles of leadership with the wonderful Lieutenant Colonel Oakland McCulloch @ltcoakmcculloch, who is a leader with 40 plus years of leadership experience, a teacher, an author of a leadership book and an experienced public speaker. As Oakland says himself: "It is about leadership, not military leadership, but leadership. I believe great leaders are Servant Leaders. LEADERSHIP IS LEADERSHIP, no matter where you learned it and practiced it. Leadership skills are transferable between professions", his thoughts on fear are: "We all have our fears. I live by the quote by President Franklin D. Roosevelt: "Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear." I believe you overcome fear in several ways: self-discipline, training and conviction."
