Edward Carroll (www.edwardcarrollmusic.com), internationally acclaimed soloist, principal trumpet, and educator, is the special guest on this episode of The Other Side of the Bell. Ed discusses his early career performing as principal trumpet in the Rotterdam Philharmonic, and later associate principal trumpet in the Houston Symphony, as well as his prolific solo career performing around the world and recording albums on the Sony, Vox, MHS, and Newport Classic labels. Now, Ed devotes his time to education as Professor of Trumpet and Coordinator of Brass Studies at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), Senior Lecturer at Dartmouth College, and is the Director of the Center for Advanced Musical Studies at Chosen Vale.
