Laurin is a Portuguese American artist and fashion designer living and working in New York.  She grew up in a small town, far removed from the arts industry, and went to school for premed. After a successful decade long career in the pharmaceutical industry in New York City, she made the decision to pursue her dreams of being a fashion designer and went back to school at the age of thirty-two. She quickly became the head designer of the luxury brand, Dennis Basso, where she has designs four womenswear collections a year and manages a team of creatives, seamstresses, and pattern makers in addition to multiple other roles.  She also works as an artist, selling her paintings through multiple channels to high end clientele.  She has a diverse and unique set of business and life skills which have lent to her success and opened many doors.  Visit: www.laurincabralissa.com
