On this week's episode we're continuing our coverage of the 1990's the Deadliest Decade with episode 8: Don't Ask Don't Tell. This episode covers the tragic murder of Allen Schindler and the cover up that followed the murder by the U.S. government. 

Allen, enlisted in the U.S. Navy, was brutally attacked by two fellow navel men solely based on the fact that Allen was a gay man.  A local military newspaper in an attempt to find out more information on this murder, stumbled upon a government cover up of the facts and basis of this case. 

Follow along as we learn the true facts about Allen's experience on base as a gay man, his mother's discovery of her son's death and the full details behind it, and the final sentencing for the two men involved.

This horrific death was the precipice for the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy in an attempt to protect those who fought for our country but were also gay.  But is this policy a true attempt at protection?  Listen into hear our opinions...
