In this episode, we’re excited to welcome Niko Katsuyoshi, Founder of AntidoteDAO, a Decentralized Autonomous organization dedicated to funding cancer research and charitable initiatives. We discuss how they are looking to bring greater transparency to medical research & grantmaking, how they are raising funds via crypto and NFTs for cancer research, and the long term vision for the DAO.
About AntidoteDAO
AntidoteDAO (originally Cancer Coin) was created by Niko Katsuyoshi in late 2021 to take advantage of the developments in crypto/blockchain technology and aid developments in curing different cancers. Having lost countless family members to the terrible disease, he wanted to be able to do something to help for once. Originally launching Cancer Coin on the BSC Network, he quickly came to realize he needed to increase community trust. By moving to the ETH Network and also creating a DAO, the project would be able to become community-controlled and fund different cancer initiatives directly.
