My fellow caciques! Here I look at the crime stats for Camuy, PR, also known as La Ciudad Romántica. I get data from the police department via the Instituto de Estadísticas de Puerto Rico from May 2016 to August 2019 to look at eight (8) different Type 1 Crime Categories: murder, rape, aggravated assault, human trafficking, robbery, breaking & entering, illegal appropriation and car theft. With the news media portraying rampant crime, I decided to take a look at the monthly statistics for crime in the municipality that I live in. Eventually, I'll get to the big cities like Bayamon, Carolina, Ponce, and San Juan, where most crime happens.
