Episode 4 | Dr Louise Oliver | Why is no one talking about sleep disordered breathing during menopause?

Listen Later

In this long-form conversation, Dr Louise talks us through the (2015) NICE guidelines for menopause, explaining how an awareness of the guidelines can be a tool to inform patients and make for a more collaborative patient, doctor relationship, whilst also delving into a prevalent problem that the NICE guidelines left out - the astoundingly common occurrence of sleep disordered breathing among peri-post menopausal women.

During the episode, we explore the ins and outs of what sleep disordered breathing actually means and delve into a few simple approaches Dr Louise takes with her patients to help combat disturbed sleep, brain fog and that all-encompassing fatigue so many women going through menopause experience.
