A few years back, he purchased the once-dormant publication with a history that dates back to 1966 and has since transformed it into one of the largest print magazines in the U.S. His dedication to his readers, his family, and his craft is unparalleled.

Mike and I go way back—our families share a deep connection, and we even attended our first concert together (take a guess—it’s not who you think!). Growing up in Queensbury, NY, just outside the Adirondacks, Mike’s life has always been steeped in skiing and the mountains. Today, he and his family live in Tahoe, where he continues to grow Mountain Gazette while staying deeply connected to his roots.
