Hey everybody the Boi’s are back and at it like we never left. We got a whole new episode today and it's a special one where we get to interview our first official guest on the show Arlene Ambrose. She is also known as the Donness as you will find out in this episode. Arlene is a registered nurse as well as published author and writer. Blessed with many creative gifts she is also a blogger as well as a spoken word artist.
Arlene dives into her early upbringing and the struggles and pressures that she faced growing up in a strict religious family. She talks about how it played a role in her doubting her self image and being ashamed to appreciate her body.
She also shares a hilarious story from her school days and we learn how she became the Donness.
Arlene also goes in depth about some of her toxic and abusive relationships that she had, and how they lead her to the brink. We discover an untold story of her struggle which eventually lead her to Edmonton. She talks about the importance of God in her struggle and the things that she learned from those experiences and how it helped her to look internally and change some things in her life and grow.
We also get to see a little bit of the sibling rivalry and back and forth between Arlene and Aquille as well as some stories from when they lived together. She drops some huge life lessons that she learned like taking full responsibility for your life and being consistent.
I’m not gonna tell ya’ll everything, you're gonna have to go watch and listen but this episode is a Gem. There are tons of tips, life lessons, jokes and even the Khawi laugh makes an appearance.
