My 40th birthday is next week, but instead of following the rules of the healthcare system, insurance companies and my doctors, I did not wait until 40 for my first mammogram. I fought the system and got it years prior. Today, I am waiting to have a breast biopsy, because according to my doctor, my mammogram results showed a "very suspicious abnormality".
