Gabi Steinmair teaches at Pädagogische Hochschule Oberösterreich in Linz in the teacher training program for primary school teachers. She has worked as primary school teacher herself before and developed a "material based learning space" approach in which children can learn with especially prepared materials and a lot of indepence. Her special focus is reading and writing acquisition.
