Women continue to be underrepresented in the political sphere both on a national and European level. In this episode, we have a look at structural barriers, the potential of gender quotas and the impact of electoral systems. Furthermore, we shed a light on the careers of some female politicians, their rise in popularity, societal contributions and struggles with regards to gender stereotypes.
