Time is one of the topics every entrepreneur talks about and almost no one solves. Time management courses don't fix it. Productivity apps don't fix it. New planners don't fix it — at least not for long. The reason is that most of what we call time management is really an attempt to manage something else entirely, and we've been pointing at the wrong problem the whole time.
In this solo episode, I push back on the conventional framing of time management and make the case that the real issue isn't how much time you have — it's the relationship you have with it. The women I work with rarely need more hours. They need to stop feeling like time is happening to them, and start treating it like something they actually have agency over. That shift is more philosophical than tactical, but the tactical results follow it.
We talk about why time feels so scarce even when it isn't, the small mental moves that put you back in control of your day, and how to stop letting urgency dictate your priorities. If you've been quietly losing the battle with your calendar — feeling like you're always behind, always reacting, always carrying the weight of things you didn't get to — this conversation will help you reset.
This episode originally aired on Hitting Rock Middle, the show that has since evolved into The Sallie Ogden Show.
