Listen Later

Special-purpose acquisition companies,or SPACs, have become the latest rage in corporate finance, allowing private companies to go public by first being acquired by a blank check company. According to the latest figures, there are over 400 SPACs now in the market that are seeking private firms to acquire and take public.

In this episode of Financial Executive Podcast we speak with Mandi Simpson, a partner with Crowe accounting advisory, and Bill Watts, a principal also with Crowe accounting advisory, about how financial executives involved with a SPAC transaction should plan and think about these unique transactions.
