Welcome to our first Fairuza Balk movie on the Radical Retro Rewind!
Rob suggested we watch the 1986 Halloween TV special "The Worst Witch" a favorite of Rob's growing up! Besides talking about this weeks film, we also discuss Rob watching another made for TV film "Halloween Town" for the first time and getting ready for this spooky season!
"The Worst Witch was released in 1986. It is based on the children's book by Jill Murphy. Mildred Hubble (Fairuza Balk) is one of the young girls at a prestigious witch academy. The headmistress of the school, Miss Cackle (Charlotte Rae), has an evil twin sister (Agatha) who plans to destroy the school. Can Mildred foil the plan before the Grand Wizard (Tim Curry) comes to the Academy for the Halloween celebration you'll never forget?"
