Today we're exploring the difference between capacity and capability — as viewed through a trauma-informed care lens and also deeply relevant to motherhood.
We are capable of SO much.
And… our nervous systems can’t hold everything — at least notall at the same time. We have limits.
In this episode, we gently check in with ourselves while in the messy middle of raising kids with their own unique needs and navigating our own needs. We talk about noticing where energy leaks happen, how overwhelm quietly builds internally, and how regulation — not forcing or just pushing through — brings us back home to ourselves.
This isn’t about "fixing" ourselves or doing more.
This is a simply an invitation to listen. To come back home to our breath, our body, and our inner wisdom.
Because honoring our capacity isn’t giving up — it’s learning how to be with ourselves in those tough moments and giving ourselves what we need.
