Digambarah: One whose clothes are the directions. In the Vishwaroopa or Cosmic form of the Lord, the directions are his clothes or dresses. The word Digambara is also used to express the meaning dress-less or naked. Some forms of Lord Shiva are contemplated on without dress, Eg. Bhikshaatana, Bhairava etc. It also means that He wears such a simple dress like tiger skin that He is almost naked.
