Leading Off
Before we get started, please be sure to check out the Baltimore Sports Report Network, for episodes of Bird’s Eye View and four other great shows. We are thrilled to be a part of a great group of Orioles fanatics who put such great content together. Over at the BSRN, you’ll find:

* Bird’s Eye View
* Section 336
* BSR Podcast
* Baltimorons
* Orioles Spastics

Check these guys out. If you’ve got the attention span and the patience for us every week, you are going to LOVE the Baltimore Sports Report Network.
Jake and Scott spend this podcast cruelly separated by Jake’s vacation, and “sub-standard” internet service in the Dirty Jersey. Undeterred, they put together Episode 47 with tape, bits of string, and a lot of wishful thinking. We start off, as always with The Brian Roberts Watch, in which we meet baby Jax, the result of this week’s Baby Roberts Watch. Roberts’ small sample size brings more of the same: mediocre at the plate, passable in the field. Competent, not stellar.
We want to see #TheBrianRobertsWatch take over Twitter. Use this hashtag whenever he’s up – good, bad, or ugly. Let’s make this, as Jake so eloquently put it, “a thing.”
Then, it’s a quick trip through the Medical Wing (after having missed it last week, whoops), for updates on the usual suspects:

* Steve Johnson was activated and recalled to the Orioles. He’s since been optioned back to AAA.
* Nolan Reimold is done – possibly as an Oriole
* Jason Hammel is being conveniently ignored. He will join the team on the West Coast road trip, so it is possible that he will not go on a full rehab assignment.
* Wilson Betemit is expected to begin his rehab assignment on August 6 (Gulf Coast League).

Dear Dan / Dear Buck
In a new feature, Jake and Scott write letters to Orioles leadership. We’ll see how the organization reacts to these letters before deciding to do it again. You can’t have too many hometown hacks complaining about being banned from the stadium.

The Hunt for Orange October
Jake and Scott lay the argument for whether the Orioles are playoff bound in 2013. As usual, Jake takes the rosy, Orange Kool Aid side, and Scott douses the proceedings with a dose of cold reality. Are the Orioles a playoff team?

Fantasy Boss
Score: Jake, 3, Scott 1
The guys tied last week, but the possession arrow favored Scott. Think that’s a stupid rule? We agree, but it’s never stopped us before. Scott picked RBIs for next week. Jake took Adam Jones, and Scott took Chris Davis.
Who will own it?

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Who had a great week? Who had a terrible week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly.
