As Black History Month draws to a close, we wanted to shed light on some historical injustices the US healthcare system has perpetuated against Black individuals. Black individuals have made huge contributions to medical and scientific research, yet they continue suffer disproportionately due to structural racism in the healthcare system and society. There is still a lot of change that must occur so it is important to keep these conversations going even beyond February.
