Lara invites us into her harrowing story while inside the PBCC. She recounts how she tried to get help regarding her abuse and how she was even sent to Maple Creek! At the time Lara’s abuse was happening there were 23 members and of those there are potentially 10 children as victims of sexual abuse. She takes us through what it was like to be a female within the church and how "women were slaves". Her heart wrenching story on the day she left, brought us all to tears as we all knew of the pain she described. We dive into the leaders promise of the rapture and the lies covered up during a split in the 60's called Aberdeen. Could this have been the open door for abuse to be so widely accepted? Cheryl also gives us an update on the investigation in Maple Creek.
