A father and a son go up a hill (i.e. mount). The son carries the implements for his execution. They are calling it a sacrifice. Sound familiar? It should. It’s both Abraham and Isaac, and God and Jesus.

But, did God kill Jesus for you? Seeing the parallels of the Akedah (i.e. binding of Isaac) and Jesus’ crucifixion will help you start understanding Jesus’ death differently.
