Perfectionism is what drives most of us to live a life dedicated to receiving approval from others while rejecting ourselves and holding onto shame about who we truly are. This episode is all about healing from perfectionism so that we can take that pressure off and actually begin pursuing the life that we really want to create instead of the one we think we have to create to survive.

JOURNAL PROMPTS:
1. Write about all the things that make you want to be a perfectionist and why you always want to get things right. This is important because it helps us understand our own behavior when we feel so bad.
2. Reflect on that list. Can you connect any dots back to your childhood? What did you believe you needed to do or be to be loved?
3. Are there areas in which you demand perfection from yourself? Are there areas in which you demand perfection from others? Do those line up? Are you using different standards for yourself? Why?
4. What are you afraid will happen if you stop trying to be perfect and just let yourself be who you are?
5. What would it take for you to like yourself?
6. If you were no longer weighed down by this fear, what would you try and how would it enhance your life?
