Episode 50 ~ Happy Mother's Day

We celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May every year. Three women are credited for bringing Mother’s Day to life: Ann Reeves Jarvis, Julia Ward Howe, and Anna M. Jarvis. For them, Mother’s Day was about better health, peace, love, and improving the lives of others. It wasn’t about gifts.
As a result of their efforts from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s, President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill in 1914 designating the second Sunday in May as “Mother’s Day”, a day to celebrate all mothers.
