Two articles about Autism were published recently that seemingly contradict each other. One says profound Autism is on the rise. The other says that in Autism we have an 'epidemic of diagnosis' which the author calls 'progress.' Taking care of kids on the spectrum for over 30 years, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that there has been a huge increase in the number of kids with Autism, and it is NOT just a case of better diagnostics!
