This week Ian takes us through Edwards trip from the island of Hispaniola (known as Ayiti by the locals of the DR) up through to Delaware and Pennsylvania, and his path from a little pirate nobody, to one of the most feared pirates in all of written history.

Although his ships were known to fly a blood red flag, to symbolize their intent to loot and that those who resist would be killed, it's quiet possible Blackbeard never hurt a fly. He had plenty of men to do that for him.

Although even his closest ally could not trust him in the end.
