Over exerted myself over the last month leading to a much needed, but dreaded, meltdown, so once again we did not get to record this weekend. Enjoy another episode from Rethinking Our History to get you through the week. 

I once heard someone say, it's not crazy to say people are after you if people are after you. I have a feeling Fred knew people were after him, but that did not stop him from living his life's purpose.

Helping people. From the age of 10 when he cooked breakfast for other neighborhood kids, to running the Chicago chapter of the Black Panther Party, Fred worked his whole life to better the lives of others.

And because he was good at it, and had the power to bring the poor masses together, the government had him murdered.

Welcome back friends after our little break for the kiddos birthday. The episode I have for you this week was supposed to be the very first episode of this podcast, but life happens ya know?

In February of 1959, when Igor Dyatlov and the 8 other members of his skiing/hiking group did not return or send a message that they were done with their trip, their families raised the alarm and demanded a search. 

What would be found on the side of that mountain has been debated for decades, and will continue to be debated for decades to come. 

What happened to those 9 people on the side of that mountain? Was it a natural disaster? The military? A beast of legend? We may never know.

Enjoy this episode from our history show as we did not have time to record a new one for you this week. 

It seems there is a lot of vitrol and hate towards anything showcasing black excellence now adays on social media. This includes figures from history.

Known as the black Samurai we do not know much about the man known simply as Yasuke. But there was nothing simple about him. The very sight of this man sent communities into a frenzy and people lost their lives trying to catch a glimpse of him.

But what he did next still shocks people to this day. After confirming this man had not bathed in a vat of ink, one of the most powerful rulers in feudal Japan took him under his wing.

And as sad I am that Chadwick Bosman will not be bringing his story to life, we should soon see his story play out on the big screen.

We have a spooky tale for you guys this week. North of New York City is a town who's name conjures up an image of a headless man on a horse, holding a pumpkin head. 

Sleep Hollow NY is the setting of the legend of the Headless Horseman, at least here in the US. Ichabod Crane is another name many of us know from this story, and Ian will take us into the history of this legend.

We have a bit of a different case for you guys this week. This is a historical case, but one that is literally the stuff of nightmares. 

In the late 1800's colonial Britain was building a railroad from Uganda to the ocean. The camps were spread over 8 miles, which would become a serious problem when a pair of maneless lions began to hunt the workers. 

Known as The Ghost and The Darkness, these brothers terrorized these camps for nine months, taking the lives of at least 25 men, possibly over 100. 

It would take one brave man months to hunt down these big cats and put an end to their attacks.

This week, we are going back a couple of years before the alleged UFO crash in Roswell to look at another claim of alien activity. 

Just miles from where the US government was testing A-Bombs in the desert of New Mexico, two young boys claimed to have witnessed small creatures roaming around in a field. 

There are many things about this story that just do not add up. Mainly, their story kept changing each time it was told.

We are back this week with the second part of our look at the cult the Order of the Nine Angles. This group has been described by some as a subculture or a movement rather then a full fledged cult, but either way they do not have good intentions for us. 

Whether the groups has it's roots in white supremacy is not really important. What is is the fact that they encourage their members to join these groups, as well as other extreme political and religious groups, to try to undermine society as it is today. 

Its main goal is to create a society that they, and the Aryan race, shall rule over, here on planet earth, and across the galaxy. You read that right, they want to colonize the Milky Way. When will this madness end?!

This week Ian takes us to the great white north to look at a couple of cases of people who claim to have encounter gigantic UFOs, or UAPs. 

His first story covers a man who witnessed something enormous over his home, while his second story covers an encounter pilots had while flying into Anchorage. 

We have only "discovered" a small portion of our great state to the north. Who is to say there isn't a great alien civilization living there as well?

We are back with another cult this week that can be best describe as a subculture or movement. This is yet another one that still lurks out there, and that we need to be vigilant against. 

Supposedly founded in the 1960's the Order of the Nine Angles is a neo-nazi satanic group who's main goal is to create an Aryan utopia. 

What makes this group stand out from others is there is no leader or central figure that people are following but rather a belief. And a belief is something that is very hard to kill. 

The worse part, many members of this group are in law enforcement or the military. Not because they want to protect people, but rather to be able to kill at will with little or no repercussions.

This week Ian has an interesting story for us, one that I myself am struggling to believe. 

Back in 1995, when late-night talk radio was all the rage, Art Bell heard the story of a man who was allegedly trying to build a time machine. So of course Art reached out to this man and had him come on the show. 

The story Mike told about his first failed experiment was an interesting one, but the real wild part comes after this initial interview, when Mike begins to work on an even larger machine; one large enough for a human to travel through.
