Being of the female population, I think we all succumb to this at some point. People-pleasing. It's often easier to just agree and "keep the peace." But what about our peace?
As believers, we know that true peace comes from God. We often overlook the example Jesus set for us. Over and over the gospels tell how He removed Himself from the presence of others (the crowds and disciples) and got alone with God to pray. He was able to live His calling because He was focused on pleasing God, not man.
If you find that your sense of self worth or need for approval is often tangled up in how others view you, then this episode is for you.
If you just aren't comfortable telling someone "No" then this is for you.
If you need 2022 to be different than years past then this perspective shift is for you.
