Buckle up for some solid truth! I loved having this conversation with Chelsey.
She is an author, mama, and fellow podcaster, and she joined me on the GNM podcast to take a deep dive into discernment as Christians, holding our leaders accountable, and being the watchmen of our homes. It was refreshing and eye-opening at the same time. I hope you'll grow from this conversation steeped in truth, and that you'll share it with a friend!

Next up is the New Testament book of Colossians. Another book written by Paul - it's only 4 chapters long. In this short letter to the church at Colossae, Paul writes about:
-Thanksgiving and prayer
-Supremacy of the Son of God
-Paul's labor for the church
-Spiritual fullness in Christ
-Freedom from human rules
-Living as those made alive in Christ
-Instructions for Christian households
-Devoting yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Sharing a LIVE I did last week - a verse that I thought on, prayed on, and looked up additional commentary...
Have you ever mapped out a verse before? Are you getting in God's Word to hear what He is trying to tell you?
As mamas, it can often be the first thing that is overlooked when there are so many other things that need to be done. And before you know it, a heaviness starts to set in. I'm here to tell you that time with Jesus is not "a thing that needs to get done" it is THE thing that needs to get done. As in, numero uno!
I hope this quick glimpse into my heart builds yours up as well :)
I'm cheering you on and always in your corner ❤️

This is one of Paul's most joyful messages despite his circumstances of being in prison. I hope you can pop your earbuds in and listen while you're on the go!

Glad to be getting in the Word with you again this week! Ephesians is a short but powerful book of the Bible. It has only 6 chapters but covers topics of salvation is found in Christ alone, all believers being one body through Christ, and relationships between husband and wife, children and parents, slaves and masters. One of the most memorable parts in Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus is putting on the full armor of God, reminding us that our battles are not against flesh and blood but against powers of darkness.
Praise God He gives us EVERYTHING we need in Jesus!
Be sure to share this episode with a friend - I'm sure you know a mama who is fighting a battle right now. Let's put on the armor of God together and remind each other of God's truth.

Being of the female population, I think we all succumb to this at some point. People-pleasing. It's often easier to just agree and "keep the peace." But what about our peace?
As believers, we know that true peace comes from God. We often overlook the example Jesus set for us. Over and over the gospels tell how He removed Himself from the presence of others (the crowds and disciples) and got alone with God to pray. He was able to live His calling because He was focused on pleasing God, not man.
If you find that your sense of self worth or need for approval is often tangled up in how others view you, then this episode is for you.
If you just aren't comfortable telling someone "No" then this is for you.
If you need 2022 to be different than years past then this perspective shift is for you.
