Ren confronts Akito over the box, threatening her life. The confrontation turns violent but is interrupted. We see the the bonds that tie the juunishi and Akito start to weaken, and see how the seeds of Akito’s insecurity were sown by her parents and incubated by the inner circle of the Sohma family.
