Uo and Hana meet Akito at the hospital. Uo hears about Kureno and is able to visit him. 

Yuki gives Kyo a pep talk with his fists. Kyo decides he will visit Tohru in the hospital, but he has something he has to tell his father first.

Kyo and Tohru’s reunion at the hospital doesn’t go the way that he expects…

Akito confronts and attacks Tohru, but Tohru recognizes that in many ways she and Akito were struggling with the same feelings. Tohru is eventually able to convince Akito that they can start over as friends, but a freak accident during the confrontation leaves Tohru severely injured.

Kyo confesses about how he knew Tohru’s mother and was there at the time of the car accident that killed her and what happened after. When she finally is able to respond to his confession, he runs off.

Kyo struggles with his feelings about his mother, Kyoko, and Tohru.

Ren tells Shigure about her and Akira’s relationship. Akito remembers the confusing and painful time around Akira’s death. Ren tries to attack Akito for the box that contains “Akira’s soul”.

The curse suddenly breaks for another zodiac member. As Akito’s world starts to crumble, Kureno becomes her target.

Tohru struggles with keeping her mom her first priority in her heart and her feelings for Kyo. Shishou and Kagura are concerned those feelings might just be pity. Kyo runs into Tohru’s grandfather while visiting Kyoko’s grave alone and learns more about why Tohru speaks the way she does. After confronting her about it, he struggles with his memories of Kyoko’s accident.
