In this episode, Scott and Ollie discuss pressing for evidence-based explanations. As the final set of practices in Ambitious Science Teaching, this phase involves helping students construct a final, evidence-based explanatory model for the phenomenon. As we discuss this practice, we also talk more generally about the powerful impact of asking good questions and how we support new teachers' development.
