May is Older Americans Month and it was first established 60 years ago by President John F. Kennedy as a way to raise awareness of the challenges older adults face, from inadequate health insurance to questions around sufficient savings for retirement. While those challenges may still exist for far too many of our elders, I think it’s safe to say that older adults today are very different than older adults were six decades ago.
