Abstract: For episode 6, we discuss the phenomenon and the roots of #BlackBoyJoy. The creation of the hashtag is a response to the misrepresentation of Black men in mainstream society. In this episode, we interrogate the necessity for the #BlackBoyJoy hashtag/movement as a way to highlight the Joy that Black men are too often taught to suppress. Join us!
