In the first of two episodes, Dan talks to Karen Packwood, creative writing PhD student at the University of Nottingham. Karen’s work is focused on the production of a memoir, ‘Into the Silence’, which is set in post-genocide Sarajevo and explores her coming to terms with the death of her husband, Amir.
