Going to The Chapel

Episode 6 | Last Meals, Parades, & The Whole World

Listen Later

Question of the Day - 2:00

What would be your last meal?

Hot Topic - 5:28

CQ: Our community group had a lively discussion about whether or not it is inherently sinful for Christians to attend Mardi Gras parades in general, but also including Spanish town. How can one filter what parades might be sinful?

Discussion & Member Questions - 16:06

Recap

  1. Was there anything during the preparation of this sermon that you wanted to elaborate on or geek out about?
  2. The sermon this past Sunday was about the early church understanding for the first time that the gospel is for the whole world. Let’s talk about how spreading the gospel to the nation applies to us. Some church members might wonder why does that have anything to do with me?
  3. CQ: Is there something in today’s culture that represents or is close to the type of deeply ingrained ethnic divide they had back in Peter’s time?
  4. On Sunday, we talked about prayer walking. Could you elaborate on what that is and why we are doing it?
  5. CQ: Someone born with a physical handicap asked me why they were born that way. Is it more Biblically accurate to tell them that A. There is nothing wrong with them and they were made in the image of God, B. We live in a broken world because of sin, or C. Another better answer?
