Welcome to another episode titled Life As a Mom Without her Mom.   Grief is such a personal thing.  It is such a unique thing to each person and each loss.  This is why I am loving having these conversations, they are helping me grow and understand how different each of our stories are, even if they do have some similarities.  

This time my guest is Jana Palm-Rienks.   The similarity in our stories is both of our moms were diagnosed with illnesses that we watched them battle, and then succumb to.  But that is where the similarities end.  Please listen to hear Jana tell her story, and her mom's story.  This is a very real and honest conversation and has everything from tears to laughter as Jana takes us through a very difficult 18 months.

Jana lost her mom near the end of 2019 to breast cancer and during our conversation she talks about everything from how she found out about her moms diagnosis to the day her mom died.  

Jana also shares two other losses with me that are less talked about and less understand. If you have had a miscarriage or lost a baby, this is a must listen as Jana shares her experience with both of these losses and the advice her mom gave her before she passed to help her with her grief.
