Dr. Bartner and Ryan delve into the Larry Smith years and some of its star players, including Rodney Peete, who the band helped recruit to USC and later played at his wedding. They also discuss the big games of era: the "Measles Game," the 1990 Rose Bowl, and the 42-point fourth quarter Crosstown Showdown that same year. They then talk about the band's consecutive game streak, which began at the request of Coach Smith in 1987 and has lasted 415 games. Dr. Bartner shares his favorite pregame rallies and how one in particular fulfilled a boyhood dream.
