Part one of a three part series on all things video games, including what it was like essentially growing up in a mall arcade in the late 80s and early 90s, the transition of top games to home consoles and the infamous console wars, and general mall culture and nostalgia.  Joining me on this series is Jesse Littlejohn, who has been one of my best friends since age 5 and, if you listened to episode one of this show, was an big part of the destructive “sleepover crew” and an important part of my formative years.  In part 1, we talk about the competitive nature of the arcade in the early 90s, the sights, the sounds and the smells, the competition AND camaraderie we discovered in that environment.
