Dr. Maria Roca is in a way the main reason I am here today, getting to make this show. I was an FGCU student several times, and it was she who dragged me back in after being distracted by life...twice. AND she's who hooked me up with an internship at WGCU. 

Maria is the Chair of the Department of Integrated Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University. She got her Ph.D. in Media Ecology, and her M.A. in Performing Arts Management, she is a founding faculty member of FGCU. She's also the mother of one daughter, Alissa, who is a professional opera singer living in Dallas.
