In this story, Chantelle chats to Pierre about the lesson he’s learned from loss. Pierre is South African, but working away from home in Ghana at the moment.   We talked about one of his defining moments as a teenager when his parents car’s almost got repossessed, and how he learned the value of contracts. Despite this knowledge and putting the right paperwork in place, later in life, Pierre lost a business partner.

As a man, this was another defining moment for him, and he proved his resilience by pivoting into another role.  What I loved about chatting to Pierre was his relatability – we’ve all experienced moments of doubt and failure, but he picked himself up every time, and internalized the lessons. Life is truly a marvel when you grow through experience!
