In this story, Chantelle chats to Pierre about the lesson he’s learned from loss. Pierre is South African, but working away from home in Ghana at the moment.   We talked about one of his defining moments as a teenager when his parents car’s almost got repossessed, and how he learned the value of contracts. Despite this knowledge and putting the right paperwork in place, later in life, Pierre lost a business partner.

As a man, this was another defining moment for him, and he proved his resilience by pivoting into another role.  What I loved about chatting to Pierre was his relatability – we’ve all experienced moments of doubt and failure, but he picked himself up every time, and internalized the lessons. Life is truly a marvel when you grow through experience!

What an a amazing conversation with the springbok women's flanker, Lusanda Dumke.  In this episode Ryan and Lusanda chat about where her love for rugby started, being overwhelmed playing at national level and her burning desire to give back to her community.  Such a humble, down to earth individual with a heart of gold, having a challenging upbringing she has risen to the summit of female rugby by representing her country. 

She recently won the Eastern Cape Sports Star of the year. It is amazing to see her drive to continuously challenge herself and the mindset of never giving up in all aspects of life. A remarkable role model to the young female sport stars.

What a European journey young Kleon can tell his kids one day.  In this remarkable episode, Gordon and Kleon discuss the start of the concept of cycling home when the Covid pandemic started in 2020, the mental challenges he faced and how his sense of adventure had led him down the journey of traveling 3500km from Aberdeen,Scotland back home to Athens, Greece. ALL ON A BICYCLE. 

 This story is packed with amazing life lessons which highlight no matter how challenging life gets in business or personally, set yourself goals that seem impossible and step by step, day by day work towards achieving that goal. Some days may be extremely difficult and you may feel like giving up, as did Kleon only into his 2nd day of traveling, but you will eventually get to your end destination.  Kleons suggests looking at life from a different view, treating it as a adventure and most importantly taking in the scene and beauty along the journey.
