We are all aware of the 1818 classic written by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein. Some have read the book, watched the original movie or both; but, none have seen the story be told through Del Toro’s eyes until just recently. What starts off as what seems to be an exhibition mission gone wrong, quickly turns into a story being told by a haunted doctor and scientist lamenting over his past mistakes and what led him to the frozen wasteland he was found wounded in by the captain and his men. We then are graced with the same story being told but with a different perspective, the one of the Creature he created.
Until recent, we never knew what went through the Creature’s mind but Del Toro did a wonderful job bringing it to life for the big screens and the ones at home. A tragic, intricate story that involves pushing the boundaries of science, love and the norm took the world by storm. Tune into this special episode as your favorite horror duo take on Frankenstein and really break down—pun intended—the retelling of classically haunted story.
